Washington announces the liquidation of al-Qaeda leader Abdul Hamid al-Matar in Syria

Washington-ALsharqiya, October 23: The US Central Command announced the killing of a prominent Al-Qaeda leader, Abdul Hamid Al-Matar, in an air strike with a drone in northwest Syria. US Army Central Command spokesman John Rigsby said the removal of this al-Qaeda leader would undermine the terrorist organization's ability to plan more global attacks that threaten US citizens, partners and civilians.
