Baghdad-ALSHARQIYA  June 20: The President of the Iraqi Republic, Barham Salih, stressed the importance of providing support to the displaced who are still in displacement camps and seeking for their voluntary return to ensure a decent life and an adequate living situation.

Saleh said during his meeting with the delegation of the United Nations Population Fund that Iraq faced the challenge of terrorism and the resulting internal displacement crises and social and demographic consequences that affected its social composition, pointing to the importance of developing a population policy that achieves sustainable development goals based on the population, especially the youth

The President of the Republic, Barham Salih, described corruption in Iraq as the political economy of violence and chaos that aims to weaken the state and violate sovereignty..

Saleh indicated, in statements from Baghdad, that about 150 billion dollars of Iraq's money was smuggled abroad in corruption deals, stressing that the pillars of the state will not be straightened before the recovery of those funds.
