Baghdad-ALsharqiya October 17: The Iraqi National Security Council held an emergency meeting to discuss the Al-Farhati massacre in the southern district of Salah al-Din and the burning of the headquarters of the Democratic Party and the flag of the Kurdistan region in Baghdad.

The National Security Council decided to send a high-level security delegation to the judiciary of Balad to re-evaluate the region's security and the forces holding the land and work to pursue the criminals and submit a report on all these events to the Office of the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces urgently.

A statement by the council said that the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces decided to refer those responsible from the forces holding the land in the Al-Farhateya area to investigation due to the failure in their security duties.

The council added in its statement that what happened in terms of security breaches will not be tolerated and urgent measures will be taken regarding them to deter those who try to harm the prestige of the state and the rule of law, and it was decided to open an investigation into the burning of the headquarters of the Kurdistan Democratic Party headed by the National Security Adviser Qassem Al-Araji, and the statement confirmed the arrest of 15 people are trespassers.
