The Iraqi Customs Authority strikes the stock of explosive materials after the Beirut explosion

Baghdad, Sharqia, August 5: The General Authority of Customs in Iraq directed all its customs centers to expedite the inventory of containers loaded with chemicals and dangerous materials that were not cleared from the possession of the customs, against the background of the explosion of the Beirut port.

The authority said in a statement that it addressed its customs centers operating in all land, sea and air ports for the purpose of providing them with an inventory of these dangerous materials and the parties that belong to them urgently and explaining the reasons for the failure to complete their transactions by the ministries belonging to these materials, and to speed up the completion of transactions related to these containers . The Commission affirmed its keenness on the continuous follow-up to this important file by directing its directorates to work in accordance with import and transport controls and the storage of dangerous and chemical materials issued by the competent authorities.
