The Council of Ministers: The Council holds its weekly session in Basra

Basra-ALSHARQIYA  July 15: The Iraqi cabinet held its weekly session in Basra Governorate, during which it voted not to allow any party or tribal party to carry arms and deal firmly with any armed manifestations outside the state’s authority
The Council of Ministers agreed to proceed with contracting procedures in the Grand Basra Water Project, to involve the Governorate in periodic follow-up to the project, and to assign the Ministry of Water Resources in cooperation with consultants to the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Basra Governorate to submit a plan to implement the tube channel project
The Council of Ministers authorized the Governor of Basra to pay the salaries of thirty thousand visual citizens, from the cash available with the local government and to refer all the projects that are lagging to the Ministerial Council for Services. He also agreed to refer the Zubair district sewage project to the Ministerial Council for Social Services to study it and submit the appropriate recommendation in this regard to the Cabinet


The President of the Republic, Barham Salih, and the President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Faik Zeidan, discussed the role of the judiciary and its independence in implementing the law

The head of the Integrity Commission in Iraq, Judge Alaa Al-Saadi, confirmed that the commission is determined to deter transgressors of public funds

The leader of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Ala Talabani, confirmed that her party supports multiple electoral districts
