Storage and guard officials at Beirut Port to house arrest

Beirut-ALsharqiya, August 5: The Lebanese cabinet agreed to place all officials of the Beirut port responsible for overseeing storage and security since 2014 under house arrest, according to ministerial sources.

It is not known how many officials will be covered by this procedure nor their level of office.

The sources said that the army will supervise house arrest until those responsible for the massive explosion that occurred in the port on Tuesday are identified.
