Sirwan Barzani: ISIS will return after the Americans withdraw from Iraq

Kurdistan-ALSHARQIYA September 19: The commander of the sixth axis in the Peshmerga forces, Sirwan Barzani, issued warnings of the re-emergence of ISIS "after the withdrawal of US combat forces from Iraq at the end of this year.
Barzani told the French newspaper Le Monde that he warns against a repetition of what happened after former US President Barack Obama's decision in 2011 to withdraw his country's military forces from Iraq and the resulting emergence of ISIS and its invasion of vast areas of Iraqi territory.
Barzani stressed the Iraqis' need for the technology of the international coalition, especially unmanned aircraft and thermal cameras, to raise Iraqis' morale.
