Security forces arrest 4 active students at dawn Tuesday in Basra

Basra-ALSharqiya January 14: Visual activists unveiled a new campaign of arrests and suppression of student demonstrations that took place at dawn on the university campus. Sit-in students said that security forces arrested four activists of university students while exercising their legitimate right to sit-in and the ongoing strike until the demands were met. Hundreds of Basra University students organized a sit-in in front of the headquarters of the Basra Police Directorate to demand the release of the four detainees from in front of the Bab Al-Zubair colleges complex and in protest against the removal of the sit-in tents at dawn today.
