Saleh: Securing embassies is an imperative and an international obligation

Baghdad-ALSHARQIYA   September  28 : The President of the Republic, Barham Salih, said that protecting diplomatic missions is a duty, as it is one of Iraq's obligations in accordance with international conventions and norms.
Barham Salih stressed, during his meeting with National Security Adviser Qassem Al-Araji, the importance of supporting the state and achieving its sovereignty in enforcing law through the security services in a manner that guarantees security and stability and prevents attacks that affect the country's reputation in international forums.
The meeting of the President of the Republic with the National Security Adviser comes after the latter’s meeting with two separate meetings with the United States' Ambassadors Matthew Toller and Britain’s Stephen Hickey to discuss the security of embassies in Iraq.
