Saleh and Zidan stress the necessity of providing "requirements" for conducting elections and preventing "fraud and manipulation."

Baghdad-ALSHARQIYA  September  22 : President Barham Salih and Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council, Faiq Zaidan, discussed the role of the judiciary and its independence in implementing the law, resolving corruption files and punishing transgressors of public funds.
The two sides stressed the importance of the upcoming elections and the necessity of providing their legislative and logistical requirements in accordance with the principle of integrity and transparency, preventing fraud and manipulation, in a way that achieves real representation for citizens in choosing their representatives away from any influences or pressures.
Saleh stressed the need for cooperation between the Presidency of the Republic and the Supreme Judicial Council in preparing laws and legislations that contribute to the implementation of justice and the realization of rights in order to strengthen the state’s sovereignty in imposing law and providing security and stability to citizens.
