Ruins of Dohuk: Italian mission finds rare Assyrian inscriptions

 Kurdistan-ALSHARQIYA  January 14: Important archaeological discoveries in the city of Duhok were announced by an Italian exploration mission, and pictures of the ten unearthed monuments show new rock carvings showing kings and gods carved Assyria along a large irrigation canal carved with rocks. The Italian delegation stated that this discovery was attended by Professor Danieli Morandi from the University of Udine, Italy, and assisted by Hassan Ahmed Kassem from the Department of Antiquities of Dohuk.
