Real Madrid beat Liverpool by three

Spain-ALSHARQIYA   April  7 : Real Madrid defeated Liverpool 3-1 in the first leg of the European Champions League quarter-final match at Alfredo Di Stefano, the stronghold of the royal club, waiting for the return match at Anfield.
Real took advantage of the defensive gaps and lapses of the Reds, and surprised them with the first goal of a fine pass from Toni Kroos to Vinicius Junior in the 27th minute.
Marco Asensio added the second goal in the 36th minute from a ball that Kroos had also passed and the Liverpool defender set up for him by mistake.
In contrast to the first half, Liverpool began the second half strongly, and Mohamed Salah quickly reduced the score by scoring the first goal for the Reds, amid Madrid's defensive confusion in the 51st minute.

Liverpool's attacking performance rebounded after the goal, and led several attacks, but did not reach Courtois.
The Reds quickly retreated again and the royal advantage, and from a pass by Modric, Vinicius scored Real Madrid's third goal in the 65th minute.
The return match will take place next week, on the 14th of this month, at Anfield, the stronghold of Liverpool.
