Qatar's Al Duhail sign English star Tottenham Hotspur

Qatar-ALSHARQIYA  July 27: Qatari club Al Duhail announced today, Tuesday, the official signing of Toby Alderweireld, a 32-year-old Belgian from Tottenham Hotspur, for three seasons.

Alderweireld is the fifth professional in the ranks of Al Duhail, after he joined his ranks with South Korean Nam Tae Hee and Tunisian Ferjani Sassi, with Belgian Edmilson Junior and Kenyan striker Michael Olunga continuing.

Al-Duhail had dispensed with Moroccan defender Mahdi Ben Attia, during the last period.

The Belgian defender is one of the names that succeeded in proving their presence in the English Premier League during the past seasons, after he appeared with “Spurs” at a distinguished technical level.

At the international level, Alderweireld joined the national team in 2009 and participated in 113 matches, including the last edition of the European Nations Championship, and scored 5 goals with the "Red Devils" during his career.
