New international sanctions await Iraqi political figures accused of corruption and human rights violations

Baghdad-ALsharqiya, July 23: Political sources said that new international sanctions will be imposed on Iraqi figures accused of corruption and violating human rights during the coming period. The sources, who refused to reveal their identity, added that countries in the European Union, along with Britain, will issue a new list of Iraqi politicians from the leaders of political blocs. Or current and former officials in cases related to human rights violations and corruption. The sources indicated that these expected new sanctions will come in the context of the sanctions announced by Britain against officials in 4 countries, including Iraq.
