James Jeffrey: The United States is keen to find a solution to the Syrian crisis

Damascus-ALsharqiya, September 30: The US special envoy for Syria, James Jeffrey, affirmed that the United States of America is keen to find a solution to the Syrian crisis

Jeffrey said, in a panel discussion on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly, that it is not possible to deal with the geopolitical risks of war without solving the humanitarian crisis as well.

  He pointed out that Washington's policy towards Syria is to put an end to the conflict, whether from a humanitarian or geopolitical standpoint, describing what is happening in Syria as the worst humanitarian crisis in the twenty-first century.
