IMF: Economies will stagnate in 2020

New York-ALSHARQIYA  June 17 : The International Monetary Fund warned that the developed and emerging economies will witness a recession in 2020 for the first time since the Great Depression, and the Fund's chief economist Geeta Gopinath said in a report that the world economy may face a recession crisis that is "the worst at all" despite Some have started taking steps to reopen, and Gopinath indicated that the Global Economic Prospects report for June is likely to show more contraction in global gross domestic product at a level worse than previously announced, warning that the current crisis may have dire consequences for the world's poor.
