Hooke's resignation: Assigning Abrams the duties of the envoy to Iran

Washington-ALSHARQIYA   August 7 : US President Donald Trump assigned the envoy to Venezuela, Elliot Abrams, with the duties of the envoy to Iran after the resignation of Brian Hook.
This comes at a time when the UN Security Council is holding a session next week to vote on extending the international arms embargo imposed on Iran.
Abrams, a member of the Republican Party, adopts hard-line stances on Iran, and is the architect of the coups in Latin America and is one of the most prominent planners of the 2003 US war on Iraq.
