Google launches new modules to monitor fake and illegal content on YouTube

London-ALsharqiya, July 15: Google announced the launch of new modules to monitor fake news and illegal content via the popular YouTube video sharing platform.

And Google explained, according to the Times News Now, that YouTube is currently cooperating with units to monitor and prevent fake news and illegal content in South Korea.

Neil Mohan, Google's first vice president, made the remarks in a video conference with South Korean Communications Commission Chairman Han Sang Hyuk and these statements came after Han requested such cooperation, taking into account the fake news surrounding the Covid 19 outbreak, and the recent prominent digital assault issue in South Korea, where this illegal material has been distributed via social media platforms.

Last month, Google corrected voluntary subscription practices to YouTube Premium in South Korea, after Korean authorities found it to be unfair to users and the regulator imposed a fine of $ 720,000 on Google, for violating local communications laws.
