Global health: Corona virus is far from over in Asia

Baghdad-ALSharqiya, March 31: A World Health Organization official said today, Tuesday, that the global corona virus epidemic is far from over in the Asia Pacific region, and that current measures to curb the spread of the virus give only some time for countries to prepare for a wide-spread transmission of the infection. Takeshi Kasai, WHO Regional Director for the Western Pacific Region, said that even with all these measures, the risk of transmission in the region will not go away as long as the epidemic continues. Kasai warned countries that are experiencing a drop in the number of cases of inactivity, otherwise the virus may return.
