United States-ALSHARQIYA July 2 : A Facebook spokesperson said, on Thursday, that the site has already started offering questions to some of its users in the United States, seeking to detect extremists among the site's visitors.
According to what was reported by "Cnet", the site also began sending notifications to its users to tell them that they may have been exposed to extremist content.
Facebook presents its users with a series of questions, including "Are you concerned that someone you know has become extremist?"
Facebook seeks to reassure its users by attaching a statement saying that "others in your situation have received confidential support."
Another alert said, "Violent groups are trying to manipulate your anger and disappointment. You can act now to protect yourself and others."
In recent months, there has been increasing pressure on Facebook to find a solution to the extremist content published by some of its users.
