Experts: Paying cards costs Iraq a million dollars a day

Baghdad-ALSharqiya, June 2: Experts estimated that Iraq lost nearly one million dollars a day by paying salaries via electronic payment cards. Financial experts said that there are between thirty to thirty and thirty percent fake names, especially those included in the salaries of political prisoners and the families of martyrs and social welfare. The experts called for an immediate investigation by ordering and reducing the commission of the electronic payment company to two thousand dinars only, instead of four thousand and collecting taxes not less than thirty percent of the company from its profits in the past fourteen years, noting that if this is done, it can get more than One trillion and five hundred billion Iraqi dinars as taxes due instead of foreign borrowing for such an amount.
