Electricity demonstrations: popular protests in Al-Rifai against the deterioration of electricity

Diwaniyah-ALSHARQIYA  July 10 : Angry protesters in Diwaniya shut down the electricity department and cut a number of main roads to protest against the blackout.
Activists say that the electrical current went out of Diwaniyah for more than 22 hours, at a time when temperatures reached more than 45 degrees Celsius.
Protesters burned tires and cut the road linking the center of Al-Diwaniyah Governorate and the southern areas, stressing that they would continue to protest until their demands were met.
