Egyptian army announces the killing of 118 ISIS operatives in central Sinai

The Egyptian army said in a statement late Friday that 118 terrorists were killed in central and northern Sinai, where the Egyptian branch of ISIS is concentrated. According to a statement posted on the official Facebook page by the army spokesman, the efforts of the armed forces and the police to combat terrorism resulted in the elimination of 118 takfiri individuals who were found in possession of a number of different rifles, bullets and improvised explosive devices intended to explode in North and Central Sinai. The statement added that as a result of the hostilities in the areas of operations, an officer was killed and 9 soldiers were wounded, without elaborating
