Al-Akikah protests: The district building was closed to protest procrastination

Dhi Qar -ALSHARQIYA   August  11 : Hundreds of protesters in Al-Akikah, southeast of Dhi Qar, were closed again in the sub-district, after the local government did not respond
For the demands of its people in the resignation of directors of the district, municipality, water and sewage
Angry protesters cut off the main road leading to the entrance to Akeka, raising pictures of martyrs of the uprising and chanting slogans accusing politicians of stealing the voices of the people of Dhi Qar and trading in their blood


The President of the Republic, Barham Salih, and the President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Faik Zeidan, discussed the role of the judiciary and its independence in implementing the law

The head of the Integrity Commission in Iraq, Judge Alaa Al-Saadi, confirmed that the commission is determined to deter transgressors of public funds

The leader of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Ala Talabani, confirmed that her party supports multiple electoral districts
