A security delegation visits Balad Air Base

Baghdad-ALsharqiya, May 8: A security delegation visited Balad Air Base today, Saturday, under the direction of Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi, to follow up on the air base and to see in the field the progress of work on maintenance of the aircraft and to meet with the officers and officials there, after a few days of targeting it with a missile attack. National Security Adviser Qassem Al-Araji said that the base does not include any foreign fighting forces, with the exception of foreign civilian companies that exist according to official contracts with the federal government to maintain warplanes and train Iraqi cadres on the technical aspects of maintenance work. The security delegation to Balad base includes the deputy commander of joint operations, the national security advisor, the army chief of staff for operations and the commander of the ground forces.
