90 brands take part in live shows at New York Fashion Week

US-ALSHARQIYA July 30: The Council of Fashion Designers in America, known as CFDA, revealed the calendar of New York Fashion Week, which will be held over 5 days in September. It includes live performances by nearly 90 American and international brands.

It is expected that New York Fashion Week will open on Wednesday, September 8, and extend until Sunday 12 of it, with the return of live shows to the events of this event, after it was absent for two seasons, during which digital shows were satisfied in light of the spread of the Corona epidemic.

Ulla Johnson was chosen to open the event and will conclude with a Tom Ford show.

The biggest event that will be witnessed in its activities remains the return of Thom Browne to the New York Week after an absence of 4 years during which it was presenting its shows within the activities of the Paris Fashion Week. In the French capital since 2017. Altuzarra has been participating in a project called Fashion Alliance, which includes 11 American brands that have committed to present their shows during New York Fashion Week in the next three seasons, including: Rodarte, Proenza Schouler, Telfar, Brandon Maxwell, Prabal Gurung, Sergio Hudson, and Monse, and Jason Wu, LaQuan Smith, and Markarian.

Michael Kors, one of the main participants of New York Fashion Week, has announced that it will present its show on the morning of September 10, combining the presence and digital experience at the same time. Carolina Herrera will present its presentation on September 9, during which it celebrates its 40th anniversary.

Among the most prominent absentees from the activities of New York Fashion Week, we mention prominent names on the American fashion scene such as the role of Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, and Calvin Klein, who will leave a huge void that the organizers tried to fill by hosting international names such as Moschino, which will present its show on September 9, and Dundas House on September 8 .

The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) has made sure that its activities are not limited to the five days of New York Fashion Week, but will also organize shows for American fashion groups outside the New York Fashion Week calendar and even in other countries, including Christian Siriano and Harlem's Fashion Row on September 7. Stephen Kolb, Chairman of the Council of Fashion Designers of America, announced in a statement the return of New York Fashion Week with a diversified program that represents the future of American fashion.

The return of live shows this season will not cancel their presentation also in digital form on the Runway360 platform, which was launched during the past year to meet the challenges of the Corona epidemic and facilitate the presentation of offers despite the closing conditions that the world was witnessing. This platform is a resource

Information and resources for brands throughout the year, especially as they are characterized by various tools including augmented virtual reality, 360-degree imaging, broadcasting live video shows, e-commerce services, and facilities provided to customers in addition to its integration with social networks. Although fashion week organizers and brands are excited to run live shows this season, many of the technological innovations developed during the time of the pandemic are here to stay and facilitate access to what is happening on the international fashion scene.
